Prayer Requests

Dear Brethren - Pastors, Friends & Prayer Partners,

This last month has been an unique one. Two weeks ago I took our English service team to three different Baptist Churches in Nairobi for an interaction and experience of what it takes to be to ready for a Sunday morning music ministry in a manner that will glorify God. Among the key observations was of the dedication and commitment of the teams we met! We pray that as our team work and prepare they will glorify the Lord and bring our people to an experience of knowing God intimately through His Word as they sing!

Yesterday I received the sad news of the last born child of Pastor Philip Warutere from Nyahururu Baptist Church. Their six months baby Jordan Warutere succumbed to complications of pneumonia. The Lord allowed this young one to go home to be with Him – free from all the toils of this restless world! Millicent and I went to Nyahururu to comfort them and plan the funeral arrangements. Pastor & Mrs Philip and the church leaders would want and missionary John Longisa to take charge of funeral service on Saturday.

It is a busy week alright! Praise the Lord for opportunity for ministry. This Friday I will be speaking our school ministry’s Speech and Awards Day. It will be a day with the parents come to see their children awarded for their various endeavors and disciplines. It is also a day with a BIBLICAL MESSAGE (SPEECH) IS GIVING IN A MANNER that will glorify God to impress the parents towards Godly parenting and to seek God’s will in their lives. I desire to ask you to pray that God the Holy Spirit will use me as a vessel unto honor! That the Teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit will result in transformed parents! Pray that the Word of God will have a free course in the parents and audience! I WANT GOD TO BE GLORIFIED!

We rejoice in the addition of new members at the MKBC in the last two weeks. Two Sundays ago we had 5 added into our membership and last Sunday 2 young people as they identified with our Lord Jesus Christ in baptism!

Lastly but not least! Pray for us!

Pray for the following personal and ministry needs:

  • Salvation Of Souls
  • Our Maasai pastors as they serve the Lord in Doldol and Mukogodo!
  • Missionary Moses Gikundi’s family. Salome gave birth recently to a baby girl! Pray for them.
  • Pastor from Mutunyi Baptist Church Pst Mbuthia who needs Ksh. 10,000 (USD133) to do irrigation of vegetables to sustain the life of his family economically at Mutunyi.
  • Special ministry funds for our Fellowship Fund to enable the Orlando Ngenia Baptist Church get 2 acres of land. Balance of this is Ksh. 40,000 (USD533). That the Lord will provide for the various spiritual and physical needs of the ministries of the Mt. Kenya Bible Baptist Fellowship.
  • Pastor & Mrs Philips family. Comfort during this time of loss and grief. The funeral service on Saturday! That the Lord Jesus Christ will be preached and be glorified!
  • Tools for ministry for our missionaries out there who serve Christ.
  • That more men and women would give themselves for ministry at MKBC!
  • Our son Shadrack Kagema is sitting the KCPE examination in a week’s time. Pray for his success alongside his 34 classmates at the Mt. Kenya Baptist School!
  • The roofing need of the Shiloh Naibor primary school library for our bush school students.
  • Our elderly mothers – health. They need constant medical attention! Praise the Lord for grace.
  • Financial grace – Our ministry and vehicle accounts are in the red. Pray the Lord that the big deficit in the ministry related expenses will be met currently at –Ksh 48,158.25(USD 642.11) and our Ministry car account at –Ksh 7,282.20 (USD 97.096)
  • That this Christmas will be a special one for our family. Our son Shadrack is going to go through the Rite of Passage! We want it to be a deed that Glorifies God and that he will mature into a young man who loves God and hates sin.
  • Pray for Tabbysue our daughter. The class Form II East has been lagging behind. Their classroom these two years has been in the Dinning Hall! It was not a very good environment for study! They maintained an obedient spirit. PRAY THAT WITH THEIR MOVING TO A REAL CLASSROOM THEY WILL move to the top in performance among the Form III classes in the coming year! She has been a student leader – pray for her wise and servant-leadership at Njonjo Girls High School!
  • That we would eventually have our house!

As the Lord impresses upon your heart to pray for us. May God bless you.

Philippians 4:19-20 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
