Matthew 19:13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
Larry Hutch in his book 10 Curses that block the Blessing says, “God wants us to choose the path of blessing. Don’t allow someone to speak a curse into your life or family and don’t do it either! Do not curse your children. “He so stupid, he’ll never accomplish anything.” “That girl he married, she’ll leave him someday.” Don’t be prophets of doom. Don’t curse them, but speak blessings of God on them.”
You and I are anointed by God to speak blessing on the children under our care. Some parents in the New Testament understood the power of God’s blessing and desired our Lord to lay His hands on their children. We are Christ’s ambassadors in this world and have the duty to speak blessing on those around us. May God help us to proclaim words of blessing always! Let us learn!
