In 1991 on the onset of the Kuwait war - a church in Florida sent a work team to Kenya, Africa. This team from Orlando Baptist Church built a church building in a village called Ngenia. The church members called their church Orlando Ngenia Baptist Church, after the church whose team came to put up the structure!.

From this small congregation God has called great servants for His work. Just to mention but a few Pst Stephen Ngunjiri- Timau Bible Baptist Church, Pst Joseph Tabe - Abalozi BC, Missionary Joel Muli - Dar es salaam, Tanzania, Missionary Lukas Mutunga - Kiirwa Meru among other faithful servants.
God used this country church to be the growing ground of His servants!

We give God the glory for what He only can do! Pastor Joseph Murage (seen left) and the members of this country church desire to purchase a plot that adjoins the community land where the small church building stands. The community leaders wants to use the land of development thereto this country church must look for land to relocate.
The Orlando Ngenia BC invited churches within their fellowship to help fund raise Ksh 150,000 (USD 1900) to buy 1 acre of land. I wish they would get 2 acres. There is much that can be done to the glory of God in a rural area such as Ngenia.
